Navy brat. It's a re-vamped version of my Lolo's tattoo that he got during World War II. Otherwise known as , "Rose - Angel of No Man's Land...a Nightingale Nurse"

It's dedicated to both my Lolo & Daddy. Funny thing...I wanted to enlist upon graduating high school, but my father wouldn't allow it. I loved growing up as a Navy Brat. I wouldn't have it any other way smile You move around so much, that you learn alot about the people around you, and the very similar personalities vs. the various idiosyncrasies of everyone you encounter along the way.

Clapotis....is now FIN!!!!!

After 2 mos. of inconsistent work it's finished.

I made this using 2 1/2 skeins of the Southwest Trading Company's 100% Bamboo yarn on #6 circular needles. It felt like I was literally knitting with DMC Floss!!! It's about 6 feet long, so it drapes nicely as a scarf and wrap. I doubled the increase portion.

The material is beautiful, wonderfully soft to the touch, and light.

I'm giving it to my bestfriend for her birthday on Tuesday. I'll post a pic of her wearing it :) Until then, my mug will have to do:

I'm first generation and pumpkin carving wasn't exactly something that we really thought of. So, to get into the spirit of things and have fun with our son...I carved my first pumpkins ever :)

I have to tell you that October is one of our most favorite months in our family. Our wedding anniversary, Jim's Birthday, and it's my most favorite holiday.

So yesterday, my mother in law, myself, Hunter, and my nephew Travis went to the local farm here for their Annual Oktoberfest and Crafts Fair. Not to mention, I picked up a pumpkin to carve one for my first time Ever!!!! (I am first generation here in states, mind you)

This was my first project from the book...I love how easy it was, and total time was between 4-6 hours. :)

and the boy had to demonstrate how much he liked it as well ;)

Woot woot!!! Had to have one for myself, but in red. I'm excited that I got it finished in 1 day. Major accomplishment for me :)

It's in Caron's simply soft and I used size 5 needles.

Made this Bernat's Softee Chunky...I might've gotten the name jumbled up. I only bought one skein and didn't want to deal with just having to flip the scarf over a shoulder, etc. So...I made a roundabout scarf :)

A friend of mine and his wife had their daughter last month. He was complaining that all the baby beanies that they got were still too big. So, she wears the one that she came home with from the hospital.

I made this for the lil' munchikin :)

It's a super simple pattern that I used from looking at a hat I bought almost 3 years ago :)

Duct Tape Bag

Last night I was inspired to get to hoppin' on making my very first duct tape bag in black and red. Actually it's for the Tattoo/piercing/bodymod swap that I'm in.

So far so good...I just printed up the graphics that will be going on the sides of this bag. I'll post after I mail it out so it's not so much of a give away.

Still working on my kyoto front right panel. Enjoyed some homemade pineapple chicken over rice here at work for my lunch.

Tonight, I'm taking Hunter to shop with me at Joann's for some clear duct tape and then to Toys R Us to find a toy for his friend's birthday party tomorrow. Aye, 3 year olds and the wiggles.

It's poker night every Friday night, which means that we'll probably see Jim afterwards. He's such a good player.
